Fresno, and around it

From the Van Ness Avenue office, Lucky writes bonds for Madera and Tulare counties as well as Fresno. Kings County Bail Bonds, in Hanford, is a separate company.

The Fresno office

Lucky Bail Bonds, Est. 1966. A licensed bail agent works at this address, and so does our notary, by appointment only. Starting a bond doesn't need a trip downtown. Notary work does, because the signer has to be there in person.

Anyone can look up a bail agent's license with the California Department of Insurance, ours included, before handing over money. Ours is at the foot of every page, and the number is all the search needs.

Fresno County's jail and court

Fresno County runs three jail buildings, and the county decides which one someone goes to. That isn't your choice to make, or ours.

Fresno County Superior Court hears these cases. The bail amount comes from the county bail schedule, or from a judge.

Jail addresses and county numbers

Held in another county

Madera County and Tulare County have their own guides. For anywhere else in the Valley, call and say which county is holding them. An agent needs that and the person's full name before anything else. Don't know which county? We can help you track it down.

In many cases the paperwork can be done over the phone and online, without a trip to Fresno. The agent will tell you what, if anything, has to happen in person.

Each county also runs its own inmate search.

If they're held in Kings County, Kings County Bail Bonds in Hanford is a separate company.
